How far will you walk? 👟

The ZooParc does not publish a total length for its paths. Be wary of precise figures found online: they are not sourced.

What we know: the inner path linking the South and North entrances is 1 km long. But to see the territories, you make many detours on either side: the real distance over a day is much more.

  • Bring good shoes and take regular breaks with children
  • A pushchair is useful even for children who walk well (hire available on site)
  • Le Nuage de Beauval cable car links the south and north of the park through the air, more than 35 m above the ground

How the park is laid out 🗺️

The official map divides the ZooParc into three parts:

  • South: the Heights of China (pandas), the Elephant Plains, the Koala Greenhouse, Les Terres Rouges, Bucolia
  • Centre: the African Savannah, the Big Cat Woodlands, the great ape greenhouses, L'Odyssée des Lions de Mer
  • North: the Equatorial Dome, the Land of the Lions, the Hippopotamus Reserve, the Great South American Aviary

Is it the biggest zoo in France? 🏆

No. Beauval is the most visited zoo in France, but not the biggest.

It is best known for the diversity of its species and for its giant pandas, the only ones in France. Compared with another major European park: Beauval or Pairi Daiza?

How long to see everything? ⏱️

A full day lets you see the highlights if you are well organised. Two days let you see everything at a relaxed pace, especially with children.
