🐕 Are dogs allowed at ZooParc de Beauval?

Yes, dogs are allowed at ZooParc de Beauval. They are the only pets admitted. Cats and other pets are not accepted.

However, your dog's access is limited to part of the park. Several areas are strictly off limits, for safety reasons.

Worth knowing: the ZooParc itself says the park "is not a suitable place to bring pets" and advises against visiting with them. If you can leave your dog elsewhere, that is the recommended option.

🚫 Areas off limits to dogs

According to the ZooParc, dogs are not allowed in:

  • The tropical greenhouses (gorillas, orangutans and chimpanzees, birds, koalas)
  • The Equatorial Dome
  • The show areas (Les Maîtres des Airs and L'Odyssée des Lions de Mer)
  • Le Nuage de Beauval cable car
  • The North American Territory
  • The Heights of China (giant pandas and red pandas)

In practice, that is a significant part of the park, including the giant pandas. One of you will need to stay outside these areas with the dog while the other visits.

♿ Guide and assistance dogs

Guide dogs and assistance dogs accompanying people with disabilities are admitted to the ZooParc. Some areas remain off limits, but the ZooParc's own pages differ:

  • Its FAQ mentions only the walk-through areas of the Equatorial Dome, where visitors share the space with the bats
  • Its practical information page mentions the tropical greenhouses, the Heights of China and the Equatorial Dome

🏠 Leaving your dog in kennels

The ZooParc lists a boarding kennel nearby: Au Paradis du Doggy, rue de la Grand Chardon, 41110 Seigy, about 5 minutes from the ZooParc, tel. +33 6 28 81 31 99.

Book in advance, especially in high season. Another option: take turns, with one adult staying with the dog outside the park while the others visit.

🏨 Dogs in the Beauval hotels

Dogs are accepted in the Beauval hotels for €20 per animal per night. Compare them in our Beauval hotels comparison.

✅ Tips if you visit with your dog

  • Keep your dog on a short lead at all times in the park
  • Never leave your dog in the car, even in mild weather, even with a window open. The ZooParc warns that the heat can be fatal
  • Plan your turns: if there are two adults, one stays with the dog while the other visits the off-limits areas, then swap
  • Bring water for your dog: a day at a zoo is stimulating and tiring
  • Watch your dog's reactions: the sight and smell of wild animals can cause intense excitement
