🗓️ Two months before: crossing and accommodation

The Beauval hotels fill up fast in high season. A package with ZooParc entry saves you a step.

One month before: tickets

If you are not taking a package, buy dated tickets online: from €39 per adult (instead of €43 at the gate) and €32 per child (instead of €36). They must be bought by the day before at the latest.

One week before: the practical side

  • Check the opening times and any closures for your dates: opening times
  • Look at the weather forecast: Beauval weather
  • Driving? Prepare the car kit (UK identifier, headlamp deflectors, warning triangle, hi-vis vests)
  • Check that your bank card works abroad, and its fees

The day before: pack your bag

  • Tickets: printed or on your phone
  • A full water bottle
  • Snacks for the children
  • Sun cream and hats: many territories are in full sun
  • Comfortable walking shoes: you will walk a lot on 46 hectares
  • A light waterproof, just in case
  • A pushchair or baby carrier for the little ones (pushchair hire on site: €9 per day)
  • A charged phone, for photos and the English-language QR codes
  • The ZooParc map, downloaded before you leave
Good to know: you can leave the zoo and come back on the same day with a re-entry stamp, available at the open entrances, at the kiosk under the giant screen and at the central gate. Handy for a picnic outside.

On the day: first things first

  • Arrive at opening time (9am): active animals, no crowds
  • Check the show times at the entrance and note them down
  • Plan the day around your priority shows
  • Head first for the star animals (pandas, wombats) in the early morning

On site: the tips that make a difference

  • The cable car is included in the ticket: use it to move between areas quickly
  • Eat before 12.30pm or after 2pm to avoid the restaurant queues
  • At the end of the day, the crowds thin out: ideal to see your favourite animals again
  • The pandas are most active in the morning
  • The wombats often sleep in their burrows: try early in the morning or late in the day

New for 2026

Since 4 April 2026, three new areas have opened at ZooParc de Beauval:

  • Les Terres Rouges: a 4,500 m² Australian territory with kangaroos, emus, wallabies and wombats
  • Bucolia: a 1-hectare farm, great with children
  • Les Roches Vives: a water play area, open April to late September

These new areas make an even stronger case for a two-day visit. One day or two at Beauval?
