Bucolia is the new farm at ZooParc de Beauval: 1 hectare, around a hundred animals from old French breeds, a carousel, a water play area and a restaurant. We spent time there in August 2026: here is what to know, and our tips.

Carousel and feeding 🎠
When we visited in August 2026, the 1900-style carousel was free for children, and you could feed some of the animals.
Take your time: stroking, feeding and looking around the barns is what makes Bucolia so charming.

Les Roches Vives: the water play area 💧
In the heart of Bucolia, Les Roches Vives is a play area of about 1,000 m² for children, open from April to late September:
- Water jets, mist and waterfalls
- Three worlds: the otters' domain, the wolves' trail and the beavers' stream
- A high ropes route with a monkey bridge, up to 3 m
- Free lockers

Le Canard Toqué and the shop 🍽️
Bucolia's restaurant, Le Canard Toqué, serves crêpes, galettes, regional produce, charcuterie boards and grills, with dishes from €12.50. Booking is recommended, and the Zen Pass gives priority access.
The Du Coq à l'Âne shop rounds off the visit. All the park's restaurants: where to eat at the ZooParc.
Bucolia, Les Terres Rouges, Les Roches Vives...
The 2026 additions are best enjoyed over two days.
Our view and tips ⭐
Bucolia is far more than a petting farm: it is a real conservatory of endangered breeds, and children love it. It was one of our favourites of 2026.
- Do not rush it: allow at least an hour with the water play area
- Go to Les Roches Vives at the hottest time of the day
- Eat at Le Canard Toqué before 12.30pm or after 2pm, or go out for a picnic (see picnics at the ZooParc)
- Carry on to Les Terres Rouges, right next door
